Here at MTS Sickle Cell Foundation, we rely on volunteers every day. Our amazing volunteers help us with camp, our holiday breakfast, stuff care packages, answer questions, and SO much more.  We sincerely thank you for supporting the Sickle Cell community through the gift of your time and big hearts. We couldn’t do it without you!

MEET OUR VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Shirley Goff is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and has called Clayton County home since 2010. She’s a graduate of Charles Sumner High School (St. Louis) and earned her degree in Business Administration while attending Georgia Piedmont. She also studied Computer Programming and is certified as a Microsoft Applications Professional.

Shirley has a passion for law and served over 8 years with the Government in the Judicial Administration Department as a Deputy Court Clerk. She has written policies and procedures for high level institutions and was the liaison between several government agencies and within her division.

Shirley has a heart for the community and since a child, has always found ways to serve others. After losing a close family member in 2011 she has become an advocate for domestic violence victims and has worked with various organizations to help raise awareness for that cause. She has over 20 years of volunteer experience organizing food/clothing drives for the homeless, back to school events and other areas where she sees a need.

Shirley is active in ministry and outreach. She credits her upbringing and love for Christ as the reason for having such a generous spirit. “I just love to see people happy”, she says – quoting Proverbs 11:25 NLT “The generous will prosper, those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.”
