MTS Sickle Cell Foundation, Inc. would like to thank all of our donors who donated to help us sponsor 25 children battling sickle cell disease to attend Camp New Hope this summer. Your donations not only helped ensure a week of fun for these patients, we were also able to, along with the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, Inc., sponsor the printing of the official t-shirts for everyone who attended camp.
On July 20, 2016, our Founder Mapillar Dahn along with Board Member and Editor in Chief of EncoreHD Hair Magazine, Larry J. Stephens were honored to have joined the campers for a fun day of camp. This was an opportunity for us to shadow the campers and chronicle our visit through photography.

Ms. Dahn had this to say about Camp New Hope, “There are no words to fully express how our three daughters have been lifted up by Camp New Hope. Amatullah, Khadeejah, and Hajar have attended for two years now and love, love, love, it there! As parents of children with special needs, we are so grateful to have a camp to send them to where we know that their social, emotional, and medical needs will be met. They are truly building friendships and making memories that will last them for years to come. Thanks to all the nurses, doctors, counselors, and volunteers for making camp such a fantastic experience for our girls.”
