blood drive

at the Clayton County Northwest Library

Sickle cell patients may need many blood transfusions in a lifetime, some as frequently as every four weeks. However, multiple transfusions can cause complications. To reduce complications, finding donors whose blood types more precisely match these patients is crucial.

We call these donors Sickle Cell Heroes.

MTS Sickle Cell Foundation, in collaboration with Life South Community Blood Centers and the Clayton County Library System, will host a blood drive to support Sickle Cell Disease patients.

Warrior On The Rise Scholarship Program

Sickle Cell Disease takes a lot from warrior families.
The ability to go to college should not be one of them.

The objective of our Warrior On The Rise Scholarship Program is to support Sickle Cell Disease patients and their families in the United States. The program gives warriors and their family members the opportunity to continue their education and pursue their college dreams.

Ten $1,000 academic scholarships will be awarded for the upcoming academic year.

Application for Fall Semester 2025 will be opened from December 25th, 2024 to April 30th, 2025.
