Ethan Sheehan – Professional Chess Player & Advocate
Ethan Sheehan is a professional chess player from Atlanta, Georgia, whose passion for the game began at the young age of six. From the moment he learned how the pieces moved, he fell in love with chess, transforming a childhood hobby into a full-fledged career.
Over the years, Ethan’s dedication to the game has taken him across the United States, competing in tournaments in Missouri, Texas, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, and beyond. His strategic mindset, deep love for the game, and commitment to continuous growth have solidified his reputation in the chess community.
Beyond competition, Ethan is using his passion for chess to make a difference. He is volunteering with the MTS Sickle Cell Foundation to teach Sickle Cell Warriors from around the world how to play chess—empowering them with a game that fosters critical thinking, patience, and resilience.
As he continues to sharpen his skills and inspire others, Ethan remains driven by the same excitement and passion that first drew him to the board.
