Help Us Keep Warriors Moving: Rides for Warriors Needs You
Dear Warriors, Families, and Supporters,
Today, we share difficult news. After providing over 300 completed rides across more than a dozen states β including patients traveling from Irvington, NJ to Mount Kisco, NY, Stockbridge, GA to Atlanta, GA, Inkster, MI to Ann Arbor, MI, and so many more β we must pause our Rides for Warriors program due to a lack of funding.
When we launched this initiative with a modest $5,000, we hoped the community would rally around us, and we pushed forward, believing more funding would come. We have invested more than $10,000 to date to ensure patients reached their life-sustaining treatments, even beyond our original budget, because we refused to let warriors go without transportation.
The results have been breathtaking:
β 150 rides completed
β
13 states impacted
β
Dozens of patients served
β
Thousands of miles covered
But now, we have reached a point where we can no longer continue without your help.
We know that the Rides for Warriors program has been a lifeline for many β ensuring that sickle cell warriors did not have to choose between treatment and transportation. Pausing this program weighs heavily on our hearts.
Weβre asking for your support today.
If you, a loved one, or your community has benefited from Rides for Warriors, please consider:
β Making a donation to bring this program back
β Spreading the word through your networks
π Every gift, big or small, goes directly to providing rides for patients who depend on it. Together, we can make sure no warrior is left behind.
We will keep you updated on our progress. Thank you for believing in this mission β and for standing with the warriors who need us most.
Together, we can get Rides for Warriors back on the road.
Kind regards,
Mapillar Dahn-Flemister
