The MTS Sickle Cell Foundation is proud to offer Rides for Warriors, a national program providing free transportation to individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease across the U.S.
Whether you’re headed to a check-up, transfusion, lab, or follow-up visit, we’re here to help you get there—safe, supported, and on time.
✔️ Available to SCD patients nationwide
✔️ Open to all ages
✔️ Caregivers and social workers may apply on behalf of patients
📅 Please request rides at least 2–3 business days in advance.
🚗 Rides provided via trusted rideshare partners.
PLEASE NOTE: We are honored to support patients through our Rides for Warriors program. At this time, transportation assistance is available for medical appointments within 50 miles (one way).
We understand this may not meet every need, and we are actively working to grow this program so we can expand access in the future. Thank you for your patience and continued support.

– 🚗 Important Notice About Availability –
While we are proud to offer transportation assistance through our partnership with Uber Health, please note that ride fulfillment is dependent on driver availability in your area at the time of your request.
Occasionally, rides may not be completed due to a lack of available drivers, especially during high-demand periods or in regions with limited rideshare coverage. We understand how frustrating this can be and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
If a driver is not available, the ride will not be completed—and unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to resolve or override this issue. We understand this may be disappointing, but due to the limitations of the platform and our team’s capacity, we are unable to intervene or rebook missed rides caused by a lack of drivers.
We appreciate your understanding as we continue working to expand access while managing resources responsibly.
